#1 Deputy
Bea Titus (they/them) is a 30-year-old Workaholic who is absolutely obsessed with dogs, yard work, and animal behavior studies. Bea is based in Hood River, Oregon and has been working with dogs for 10 years. They first fell in love with animal behavior as a small child in The Dalles, Oregon. This love turned into a way to make a living when they moved to Portland and needed a third job: Bea took on on dog-walking for an app called Rover. During the time living in Portland, Bea was given a free kitten, Wednesday Cattums, from a box in the trunk of a dingy gold van. In the 8 years after, Bea struggled with homelessness, poverty, and abuse, all with Wednesday right by their side. They continued pet sitting, walking dogs, reading, absorbing media, and working hands on volunteering at shelters and working with dogs of friends and family. In 2023 Bea was able to find housing in Hood River, and through sheer grit and luck (a special thank you to some generous friends) was able to build a business through that place of living. Dogs With B is now a successful small business with a pack of loyal clients and room to grow.
Bear Cub is a fairly new addition to the family. Little Bear was given up by his previous owners who could no longer provide a loving and supporting home (due to no fault of his own). Bea was called to foster him and agreed to a 3-month foster, but... soon he was napping sweetly despite the worms, mange, and fleas and Bea knew he was going to stay. In his time living with Bea he has had extensive training, including learning not to body slam Bea while playing fetch, multiple commands, along with loose leash walking and substantial improvement with his reactivity towards humans and other dogs. Bea is very proud of him.
